A rare opportunity to acquire an exceptional 1,442-hectare estate in the beautiful Langkloof, Joubertina — a property of remarkable scale, natural beauty and versatility, offering the discerning investor or visionary owner the opportunity to reimagine a former guest farm.
Set within a landscape of dramatic mountains, open countryside and abundant natural beauty, the property offers an extraordinary combination of existing infrastructure, agricultural potential and hospitality facilities. Approximately 850m² under roof includes a spacious main residence, a second home, a cottage and an apartment, providing substantial accommodation, fully furnished, for private use, guests or future hospitality operations.
The estate’s former guest-farm infrastructure creates an exceptional foundation for a range of possibilities. A reception area with bar and fireplace, restaurant facilities, conference room, gym with hammam and showers, and a charming chapel provide the framework for a destination retreat, boutique guest farm, wellness escape, wedding venue or conference destination.
The natural beauty of the property is one of its defining features. A river flows through part of the estate, creating an idyllic setting for outdoor activities, relaxation and exploration. The surrounding area is well suited to mountain biking and hiking, while the expansive land offers the potential for a private game-farming operation.
A magnificent 560,000-litre swimming pool, privately enclosed and complemented by an entertainment area, forms a striking centrepiece for leisure and hospitality. Constructed from brick and natural stone sourced from the farm itself, the buildings are beautifully integrated into their surroundings and reflect the character of the landscape.
The estate also offers extensive agricultural and equestrian infrastructure, including a greenhouse, cattle sheds, pigsties, chicken coops and horse stables. With three boreholes and 100 kVA Eskom electricity, the property has a strong infrastructure base, while the expansive land offers opportunities for crops, livestock, vegetable production and other agricultural pursuits.
Whether restored as a luxury guest farm, developed as a private country estate, transformed into an exclusive wedding and conference destination, or operated as a productive agricultural and game estate, this remarkable property offers an extraordinary canvas for a new chapter.
For the discerning investor or purchaser seeking scale, privacy, natural beauty and genuine versatility in one of the Langkloof’s most captivating settings, opportunities of this calibre are exceptionally rare.
